Considering how reasonably priced the official PSU is, why doesn't everyone just order one with their Pi? That's the real problem that has existed since the release of the 3B, then 3B+ and again with the 4B, so it's no surprise we're still seeing this on newer models.The mistake IMO is not in having done it, but not better explaining what was done, why, and the consequences of that. They have simply left people to discover their, not unreasonable, expectations were wrong.
Not sure a better explanation would really have helped, since no-one seems to read the official docs.
Perhaps the Pi5 should have been bundled with the PSU? Although I'm sure people would have complained about that...
