DHCP can do that but, for most of the routers I've used, both IP provided or others "piggy-backed"** onto the main router to provide a secondary "local" network, a "Reserved IP Address table" or equivalent has to be filled in/activated.YesIs the SSID and password correct? My dad (with admin rights) says that DHCP sort of automatically assigns the same IP for a device (but he's not sure)
Did you re-check the IP address each time you re-booted? Unless you arrange for your router to do so there's no guarantee that the Pi will connect with the same address every time ie. the router's DHCP server may assign a different one. Do you, or another family member, have admin access rights to the router? If so check if you can set up a "Reserved IP Address" which will be associated with the Pi ZeroW's MAC address (which will not change).
