Where I can find the source code for this overlay? (I did decompile it there were some errors)

Can I either merge this with another overlay or load it with another overlay?

the whole point of overlays, is that they get merged into the base dtb, and you can load as many as you need, as long as the overlays dont conflict

My goal is to create a new overlay that will activate i2c 1 set up GPIO 4 as an input with pulldown, offer some option to tweak setting, and either activate or copy the functionality of gpio-poweroff. All but the last item I can already do with an overlay, just need help with the last bit.

i dont believe you can assign the same pin to 2 tasks
so if you have i2c enabled, you have to put poweroff on some other pin
