Thanks for asking. Here are the answers. Are you connecting to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi, and are you using a wireless keyboard/mouse or any Bluetooth devices? Bluetooth and many wireless keyboard/mouse dongles also use 2.4 GHz.
Are you reading/writing lots of data to a USB device when you have WiFi trouble (on the 3B/3B+ USB and WiFi share bandwidth)?
Are you certain your troubles are with WiFi? 64-bit code uses more memory than 32-bit code, and the 3B(+) only has 1GB of RAM. If you are doing something that needs a lot of RAM then the lagging could be the system swapping to the SD card.
In my experience, WiFi on the 3B+ is superior to the 3B, but WiFi has too many variables for anything to be certain.
- 5Ghz WiFi, now wireless keyboard/mouse or any Bluetooth devices.
- No reading/writing lots of data to USB device when having WiFi trouble.
- There is enough free memory and CPU power, no swapping.
