I should mention on the the second port I have a CSI camera attached, would that potentially be affected?You're distinctly off piste here, however on Pi5 with a single DSI display, you may be able to control this by using (module name errors permitting) "sudo rmmod drm-rp1-dsi" and "sudo rmmod panel-waveshare-dsi" to unload the drivers (unload order matters). As they aren't part of vc4 you should be able to unload them without interrupting the HDMI output (or DPI or VEC), but it would apply to both DSI ports simultaneously. I will confess that the unload code rarely gets tested, so it's possible that there are issues with resource leaks or race conditions in there.
