Mine actually runs @ 2.8GHz CPU and 950MHz GPU without any over voltage. But yeah I don't think I hit the silicon lottery, unlike most people...3GHz is not guaranteed. 1+GHz GPU - too.Hi all,
I overclocked my Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB) very slightly under what seemed to be its limit, and I was wondering whether it is safe or not, and if it will affect the lifespan and/or void the warranty. Here is my overclock script:If you could tell me, that would be great. Also, I had another question: why is mine not supporting 3GHz CPU and 1GHz GPU, while everyone else (i.e., Jeff Geerling, ETA Prime, Tom's Hardware, etc.) are able to get that, or even higher??Code:
over_voltage=4arm_freq=2800gpu_freq=900
Thanks,
Arav
Cooling is very important for good OC.
Mine stays under 40C full loaded and works stable at 3GHz CPU/1.15GHz GPU undervolted at 0.9538V.
But to achieve this clocks I had to delid it and put copper shim and Liquid Metal. The cooler I am using is Ice Tower with 2X40/20mm Noctua fans for in- and outtake.
In your case 0.99147V is ridiculously high voltage for 2.9GHz. It shows that you‘ve just had a bad luck winning silicon lottery.
