This might help you..Hi redvli,A proven way of working (so completely headless remote) is to do the swap from dhcpcd to NetworkManager already in the running Bullseye installation. nmcli can do really complex things but as we all know, if you don't script it or use it every day or week, you will need the man page many times. I use iproute2 tools package actually for custom routing/networking issues.
I am struggling to create an image with bullseye for a headless RPi 3B+. Booting with an image created by th RPi imager runs with dhcpcd. Using raspi-config to switch to Network Manager makes the RPi idle.
Is there a step by step guide to build an image that boots using Network Manager.

The move from dhcpcd to NM as the main network manager was very well publicised. It had already been a choice in raspi-config in bullseye.
