The only other solution I've considered is have my own local email server that can be setup to forward to my paided-for provider using Oath2. However, from what I've heard setting up and configuring an email server can get a bit hard.
EDIT:
I pretty sure everything you need can be done by opening a gmx email account and sending to gmail through that, no oauth2 required. gmx works with thunderbird so it should work with smtp from Motioneyes.
