Camera board • Re: GS camera on Pi 5 colours wrong

I'm not sure what to suggest here. I've just been round the cycle of downloading the latest published Raspberry Pi OS, doing all the updates, (and nothing else) and trying the camera, and it's working OK. For reference, here are the software versions it reports:

Code:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ uname -aLinux raspberrypi 6.6.31+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.31-1+rpt1 (2024-05-29) aarch64 GNU/Linuxpi@raspberrypi:~ $ vcgencmd version2024/04/20 11:53:30 Copyright (c) 2012 Broadcomversion d1744d21 (release) (embedded)pi@raspberrypi:~ $ rpicam-hello --versionrpicam-apps build: 49344f2a8d18 17-06-2024 (12:09:08)libcamera build: v0.3.0+65-6ddd79b5pi@raspberrypi:~ $ vcgencmd bootloader_version2024/04/20 11:53:30version d1744d218076d7eee7c14763bbf3d3cf6278191a (release)timestamp 1713610410update-time 1718022379capabilities 0x0000007f
After which

Code:

rpicam-jpeg -o test.jpg
produced the correct preview image and JPEG.

It seems like you've tried 2 separate Pi 5s, your Pi 5 camera cable worked with an ov5647, and your camera works on a Pi 3, so I'm a bit at a loss at this point. Maybe you're able to try the same experiment as me, confirm that you get identical software versions, and report back whether it's still broken?
