General discussion • Add 2nd NIC for VM router on RaPi5 Desktop

Hello,
I run Raspberry Pi 5 Desktop OS and would like to install a VM router.
I need to add a 2nd NIC for WAN/LAN and I'm not confident the forum suggestions to plug an adapter into a USB port will work? viewtopic.php?t=61401&sid=289c5287267b3 ... e4#p457006

I run a VM router on another machine's desktop nicely, so would like to see if it's possible on the ARM SBC RaPi5 desktop.
Any suggestions please?
