Graphics, sound and multimedia • Re: Batteries for Allo Isolator with a USB C connector

I did see that on the Allo site, but it has a DC jack with a 2.5mm plug whereas mine has a USB C so I was not sure it would be correct for my version.
You've got a newer version of the isolator. The manual says its only supports 5V so batteries can't be directly connected unlike the older isolator.
Also just wondering what happens when the batteries go flat? Would it damage any of the circuits if the Pi gets power but the isolator and DAC don't? Or do all the boards then get powered by the Rasberry Pi's PSU?
Ask Allo.
