I'm having the exact same issue with the same drive...
I can read/write to the drive on the PI Desktop but can't boot from it.
I tried to Image the Lite OS version so I can install Open Media Vault and use the nvme as the drive for OMV (boot as well)
But I'm in the same boat with nvme not found / nvme error 10
Not sure what else to try... I've contacted GeekWorm as I'm using the X1003 for the nvme drive.
