Since rootfs is encrypted, there's no way you're going to be able to get any services to run before you get that rootfs unecrypted. The luks unlock is done in initramfs before the rootfs is unlocked.What am i missing here?
I haven't tried this, but if you're using a script to prompt for the luks password, you might be able to add your LED flashing code into that, depending on exactly what environment the LED flashing code requires.
