Hey guys. An Arduino guy here.
I started working with my first Pico and it is pretty cool.
I built a small first Pico project.
I want to build a standalone power supply part for the system.
Here is my plan and please let me know what you think and please feel to correct and give feedback.
I want to feed the main power to the Pico via its VSYS pin.
I want to use a regular Amazon sold 3rd party 18650 battery as my power source. I also want to use a generic dc to dc Step up Converter called 'MT3608' from Amazon.
The MT3680 is rated at DC 2-24V input and 5V-28V adjustable voltage output.
I chose the 18650 cause it typically provides a nominal voltage of 3.7V, which can vary between 3.2V and 4.2V depending on its charge level. The Pico W's VSYS pin can accept a voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V, so a 18650 battery will be suitable if properly regulated with the MT3608.
The Pico does not do much than just send temp data over a bluetooth channel every 10 minutes. The data being sent is just a few numbers and a few sentences.
Let me know what u guyz think of my power supply choices/ ideas. Ty!!
