That is your opinion, not other peoples opinion.I can't understand how/why this could possibly be termed an "interesting exercise".
People run Windows because they have to, not because they want to or choose to.
In my case, I ran Windows (on at least one machine) for a long time, because there was one particular piece of software that I used - that ran only on Windows. Eventually that software stopped working (server to which it connected was disbanded), so Windows no mas.
So it is an interesting exercise because it is to them, they probably could give a toss on your opinion that nobody chooses to run windows, you choose not too run it, many many people choose to run it.
