I was alerted today of activity regarding the printer connection.Looks like Bosse_B stopped by a few days ago (Nov 8th), but didn't see this thread.
They weren't using a Raspberry Pi Zero, though. Those have slightly different USB capabilities than the rest of the Raspberry Pi range. If the device still isn't showing up in lsusb output, that will be a bigger problem
By scanning this thread it looks like you are trying to connect by USB.
That is not how I made the connection in the end, I pulled a network cable over to the printer after getting totally PO by the way the WiFi connect did not work.
So:
I have the printer working fine but it is hooked up by Ethernet cable....
