This is from the system that did boot ok after:I'd like to see the output of blkid when the system does boot.
(1) showing the drop to initramfs message in the original post
(2) I powered down the USB power adaptor, wait one minute
(3) it rebooted fine and has been running for nearly four days from top. I am writing this at the said system with the Toshiba thumb drive plugged in
On close examination, now I see that the Toshiba thumb drive seem might had been configured as a Ubuntu boot disk or the 'live disk' that allow trying on Intel PC without installing Linux??
Error message from initramfs specifically said missing 2d88 which is the NVMe.
