Networking and servers • Re: How to create signed SSL certificate with DS Lite connection?

Hi everyone,
I saw in a requirement for an app the need for HTTPS connection to my Pi with the added requirement that self-signed SSL certificates are not supported.https://claspo.io/blog/12-exit-pop-up-e ... ive-hacks/

Does anybody know of a tutorial/instructions how to set this up on a system that is not accessible from the web? I think Let's Encrypt etc. require access to the Pi to create the cert. But maybe I am mistaken.

The problem is that Vodafone cable internet does not supply an IPv4 and due to the DS Lite protocoll, multiple people share the same IP. So the only way to access my Pi is through e.g. ZeroTier or VPN (currently using ZeroTier).

Thank you all 🙂
Alex
Use an HTTP request with Let's Encrypt
The default way Let's Encrypt verifies server ownership is by sending an HTTP request to http://your-domain/.well-known/acme-challenge/.
