hello there
i am on
Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye)
Kernel: Linux 6.1.21+
Architecture: arm
raspberry pi 1 b+ v1.2
i am running it headless as usb midi hub and gui less pure data platform
i just got me self Elektron Tm 1 ,it is a usb to midi adapter with special TURBO feature for some Elektron devices ,which allows to send midi data faster then standard 31k/bits.
TM 1 have two Input/Output midi ports, it is connected to my Octatrack via two midi cables in order to be able to negotiate TURBO mode 10x midi speed
i have also sequencer MIDIbox v4 connected via usb
so MIDIbox and TM1 connect via usb ports
so i do
aconnect MIDIbox:0 Elektron:0
,so all midi data from usb:0 from MIDIbox goes to Elektron tm1 and eventualy to Octatrack via midi port
unitl i use it in normal mode ,midi data is sent correctly to OT ,BUT!
the moment i turn one of the knob in Octatrack ,which in turn sends midi cc data to TM1,TM1 stops working
BUT NOW!
if i do
amidi -d -p hw:3,0,0 (which is in this example TM1 adress) it starts to work again, and if i stay in amidi -d -p hw:3,0,0 i can send midi cc from OT and it does not stop working,
if i press CNTRL + C ,it still works ,but only until i send some midi cc to it again, then again i need to amidi -d -p hw:3,0,0
now ,
if i switch to TURBO mode,it stops working again,no data is send nor received(in/out leds not flashing)
so now if i do
amidi -d -p hw:3,0,0 it works ,but now the moment i press CNTRL + C it stops ,unlike in normal mode when it would be ok
i can see the TM1 device all the time when aconnect -l or amidi -l
this situation does not occur on my mac
i found solution by having amidi -d -p hw:3,0,0 in my rc.local ,but maybe there is something i can do to fix it
any ideas?
best regards
K
