Excellent work. I have always wondered how well Adafruit's MP3 decoding would work under MicroPython but I never got round to trying anything - Of course; I could just use Circuit Python.I just tried the linked example code with adaptions to the Pico W (see below) and the Pimoroni Pico Audio Pack.
It would, for me, be nice to have it playing via a simple Piezo or speaker, analogue via PWM + RC, for a low-cost solution when lower quality audio is acceptable. But not asking for you to deliver that, or even venture in that direction.
