I have a raspberry pi zero W v1.1 which i used as a wifi dongle for my desktop by configuring it in tethering mode and running avahi daemon for dhcp for desktop. unfortunately i left it on overnight and the next day chipset got fried and it had that extreme temp on the wifi chipset. I managed to remove the chip from the board and it works without wifi now. Is it possible to get a new chipset and do reballing to fit it on the pi. Will that work? is the chipset even available to buy?
