No other screens are attached to the Pi. both HDMI and composite video are unused.
I should have been more specific and said I'm using vnc and the screen is "opened" that way.
I'm only wanting to use the 3.5" screen on the waveshare as this is going to be a control unit for a system, I just vnc and ssh into the Pi to test the setup and code that it will be running.
On another note, I rewrote the OS on the SDI card and got the error to go away by using Bookworm lite instead of Bullseye. Not sure why, but it seems to have fixed the eror.
