Those tiny little IR illuminators will do very little beyond probably 1m.
They've been designed to bolt onto the sides of one of the v1 (ov5647) clones, and are the cause of all number of power supply issues, particularly as they are normally powered via the 3.3V supply of the Pi which isn't designed for high loads.
You don't say what you're trying to illuminate, so it's near impossible to advise. There are many IR illuminators available for CCTV purposes.
