I recently updated to bookworm and have encountered a login issue.
When I first started using the OS it automatically logged me in even though during the setup I provided a login ID and password.
I changed the home/'ID' to home/pi in order to prevent an issue with some of my software that has that path in it.
The next time I started up the RPi the login screen appeared and it will not accept my password.
To try to resolve this issue I used CTRL-Alt-F1 to bring up a command line and I executed raspi-config.
I selected auto-login and rebooted. I still get the login screen. The interesting thing is that raspi-config says that my login is automatic.
I also reset my password in raspi-config but the login will not accept it.
I am completely locked out of my Pi.
What can be done?
