There might be use-cases where you boot and run the OS from the network, so 0GB is then an option.Can the carrier board design the circuit of emmc? I am not clear at the moment. I see that the official io board only has sd card and m2 ssd interface.using a lite module while having the eMMC on the carrier board should be possible. So if you're fine with 8GB only why don't do that?
