Camera board • Re: Issues with Pi Camera Module 3 with RPI 4B 2GB

"What to do if your camera is not detected"

Your comments 2 & 3 are legacy camera related and can cause additional issues.

You are strongly recommended to use Bookworm instead of Bullseye, at least for testing. Kernel and libcamera versions for Bullseye are getting quite out of date, and as that is aimed at stable and legacy installs they won't be updated.

What is the best way forward. I am using the latest version of Bookworm (Apologies for making a mistake and writing Bulleye).

The Pi Cam module 3 worked with libcamera-hello libcamera-jpeg. I then succesfully set up an RTSP server and connected it to Agent DVR. I tested a reboot of this multiple times and it worked fine. Then all of a sudden the next day I noticed I was not getting a stream.

I then saw this error when running libcamera.

ERROR DmaBufAllocator dma_buf_allocator.cpp:116 Could not open any dma-buf provider.

How do I fix this issue?
