I'm having the same problems as Mike with my pi4.
The pi seems to see the hdmi (ie using VNC, the Screen Layout Tool reports the correct screen dimensions) but I get no picture. Powering up the pi with no SD card does not cause anything to be shown on the screen like some other posters in this thread. I'm onto my second SD card with a clean install of Bookworm.

I've tried two different monitors and an ancient 1080p TV screen. I'm onto my second hdmi cable, being a micro hdmi to hdmi 4K compatible one. All of my other pis have connected to one or more of these screens at some time in the past.
I'm completely stumped.
