OP here again. Thought I'd throw this in if anybody is still interested. I finally came to my senses and decided to go back to RPI OS. Not as aesthetically pleasing as Ubuntu, but it kicks. Main thing I realized is that my CPU runs 10 degree or more C cooler than if did with Ubuntu.I just allowed an Ubuntu update to install. When I rebooted after, I can't connect to my WiFi on that installation. I had to jump back over to my Raspberry Pi OS on the SD card to write this.
First, I connect to my WiFi but there is not transfer, then if I try to connect to a different network, it won't connect to any.
Does anyone know if there is some problem with the latest Ubuntu update?

Part of my issue with the original OS was that I'd accidentally installed the 32bit version and hadn't noticed it. Somebody here pointed that out ... Many thanks. Got the proper 64bit version in and it rocks!
