I've just joined and this is my first post. I'm 87 and my brain definitely does not work as well as it did so I apologise in advance if I don't include something obvious that I should have.
I have a Raspberry Pi 3 that I've had since new and it has been working perfectly well as a NextCloud server for years in my study. Then I
decided to move it to my garage and add a backup server function. However, although I've had no problems with it in my study, when it's in the garage it seems to go to sleep ,after no activity for about 5 minutes, and will not wake. The red light also goes off and stays off. If I bring it back into my study in the house it goes back to normal working. After it goes to sleep only turning it off and on will restore normal function.
It's normally connected to an ethernet network and disconnecting that makes no difference. In decades of using computers I'm baffled and would like some advice.
